Trees Walking
When clarity comes in stages, not all at once

Context
Most of Jesus's healings are one-and-done — a touch, a word, and the person walks away whole. But there's one miracle tucked into Mark 8 that breaks the pattern. It's the only healing in all four gospels that happens in two steps.
And almost nobody talks about it.
Story
People bring Jesus a blind man in Bethsaida and beg him for one touch. Instead, Jesus takes the man by the hand and walks him out of the village, away from the crowd hoping for a show. He spits on the man's eyes, lays hands on him, and asks if he sees anything.
"I see people. But they look like trees walking around."
Shapes. Movement. Something is there, but it isn't landing yet. So Jesus puts his hands on the man's eyes a second time. This time everything sharpens — every face, every leaf exactly where it should be.
What We Learn
We talk about clarity like it's supposed to arrive on a single afternoon with a bow on it. One prayer, one answer, one blinding flash. But sometimes Jesus works in stages — first the shapes, then the focus.
If you're still in the trees-walking phase, you're not stuck. You're mid-touch.
