This policy explains what Bible BFF collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Bible BFF includes an AI chat companion — here's the plain-language version of how that part works, right up top.
The AI companion, in plain terms
Bible BFF includes an AI chat companion. When you chat with it, the messages you send are sent to trusted third-party AI providers that generate the replies on our behalf. Those providers may use your messagesonly to generate replies — not to train their own AI models.
We store your conversations so you can pick them back up and so we can keep the service safe. You're always talking to an AI, never a human — and it will tell you so. For how we handle crisis moments, seeSafety & crisis resources.
1. Information we collect
- Account & device. Bible BFF works with anonymous sign-in by default — you don't need to give us a name or email to use it. We use a device identifier to keep your account and subscription working. If you later choose to sign in, we collect basic sign-in credentials.
- Your conversations. When you use the AI companion, we collect and store the messages you send and the replies you receive.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple's In-App Purchase. We receive limited subscription status (e.g. active plan and expiration) to unlock premium features. We do not store your card or full billing details.
- Automatically collected. Device model and OS, app version, usage analytics, performance and crash data, and limited device identifiers.
- Sensitive data. We do not ask for or collect health data, precise location, biometric identifiers, or your contacts. Because the companion is a free-text chat, you may choose to share personal or emotional thoughts in your messages; we handle those under this policy, and where a message suggests a crisis we respond as described inSafety & crisis resources.
2. How we use information
- Provide the app, including generating AI replies to your messages.
- Personalize your experience and remember where you left off.
- Keep the service safe — including recognizing messages that suggest self-harm or crisis so we can point to human help.
- Understand usage to improve content quality and reliability.
- Respond to support requests and send important service updates.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with:
- AI service providers, which process the messages you send to the companion in order to generate replies. They may use your messages only to provide this feature — not to train their models.
- Other service providers (such as hosting, analytics, and support), under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Apple and our subscription provider, to process purchases and verify your subscription.
- Authorities, when required by applicable law or legal process.
4. Storage, transfers & security
- Your information may be processed on servers inside or outside your country.
- We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate.
- We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.
5. Your rights & choices
Subject to applicable law, you can access, correct, or delete your information, and object to or restrict certain processing. You can request deletion of your account and conversations by contactingdeveloper@loomalabs.ai. Uninstalling the app stops further collection.
6. Children's privacy
Bible BFF is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
7. International users
Your information may be transferred to countries that may not offer the same level of data protection as your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post updates here with a new effective date. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
